All three approaches work as you describe once you get past rookie mistakes like that :) Thanks!Jason Blumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09747210533957939540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785059744103848185.post-49316095673128183542009-11-17T21:10:53.563+01:002009-11-17T21:10:53.563+01:00@phenotypical

...wonder if yo...Thanks for a very helpful blog.

...wonder if you could answer a question: I'd like to output some application stats in kind of a mini-dashboard on the right-hand side of my main.gsp (so that these stats appear on every page).

In other templates, I'd have the associated controller pass a model to the view to output. But main.gsp is just a wrapper around views and has no controller of its own. Any idea how to do this?

Thanks!Jason Blumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09747210533957939540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785059744103848185.post-1700011323815432832009-06-25T22:49:22.232+02:002009-06-25T22:49:22.232+02:00Thanks for the explanation!
